iPhone stolen in Ireland: who to call

Short answerFrom another phone or a computer, mark your iPhone as lost at icloud.com/find. Then block your SIM with your network, and call your bank. If you're in danger, call 112 first.

Take a breath, and ask someone to help if you can. We read each number below on an official page on 3 November 2026. Where it's a regulator's or government page rather than the company's own, the note says so. Numbers change, so if one doesn't work, use the official page beside it. Numbers that only work from your own network's phone won't help until you have a SIM again, so look for another way to reach them. Call costs vary.

First steps

  1. Mark your iPhone as lost at icloud.com/find. Here's the full plan.
  2. Block your SIM with your network, so nobody else can receive your login codes. Ask how to get your own codes or a replacement SIM.
  3. Call your banks and e-wallets, and ask them to protect your accounts.
  4. Report it to the police and ask about blocking the phone.

1907 from a Vodafone mobile (bill pay customers)
1747 from a mobile (pay as you go customers)
1800 225588 from any other phone
Vodafone's insurance page gives 1907 and 1800 225588 as the numbers to block the device and SIM, and its code of practice page gives 1907 and 1747. The pages do not list hours for these lines. Quote your IMEI, and Vodafone can put a handset bar on it. Once your account is barred, calls can't be made from your account until you get a new SIM. 1747 and the IMEI bar come from Vodafone's code of practice, vodafone.ie/support/code.

1913
This comes from Three's phone insurance page, which says to call 1913 to suspend your SIM within 48 hours of the loss or theft. It does not say whether 1913 works from other networks' phones or from abroad, or its hours. Three's lost or stolen phone help page says its Messaging Team, reached through a link on that page, can suspend your account and blacklist your device. That page shows no number.

Three's contact page lists these for Care. It also lists a sales line, followed by hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm, and the page does not make clear if those hours are for Care. It does not say which number to use from abroad or from other networks. Live chat is 7am to midnight, every day. The page does not mention lost phones.

The bank asks you to report a lost or stolen phone too, if you use it for banking or as a digital wallet with Google Pay or Apple Pay. If it is lost or stolen, report it, because you may be liable for losses before you report it. The bank's pages give different freephone numbers for Great Britain, so use your card or app for those.

RevolutSecure your account after losing your phone
Use their official help page.
Revolut's help page has a link to report a lost device, which asks for a selfie on another phone. It then logs you out of linked devices, freezes your cards and changes your passcode. It gives no phone number, only [email protected]. This is Revolut's United Kingdom page, so the Irish steps may differ.

Report it to the police

If nobody is in danger, report the theft to your local Garda station, or to any station. The Gardaí say to report a stolen phone and to contact your service provider straight away, so the phone's IMEI can be blocked. You can find your IMEI by dialling *#06# on a working phone. Give it to the Gardaí if you have it. There is also an online theft form for property worth up to €1,000, and the Gardaí verify each one. We did not find a general non-emergency number for the Gardaí on the pages we read, only each station's own number in the Garda Station Directory.

Block the phone

We found no service you can use yourself to block a stolen phone in Ireland. The Gardaí say to ask your service provider to block the IMEI so that the phone can't be used. Vodafone says its handset bar stops the phone working on any mobile network in Ireland, but we could not read how the other networks do this, so ask yours. Blocking the SIM and blocking the phone are separate requests, so ask for both.

Report fraud or identity theft

We did not find a single Irish service on an official page that cancels all your cards at once or freezes your credit. Call each bank and card company, and tell the Gardaí if someone has used your accounts.

We couldn't read these on an official page, so we don't list numbers for them. Check with them directly.
