About FirstHour
An iPhone app for the first hour after your phone goes missing, and for every quiet day before it.
Draft. The company name and who makes FirstHour will be added before launch.
Why it exists
Your phone holds your whole life: pictures of your cards and IDs, codes that open your accounts, and things you'd rather keep private. If it goes missing, the first hour is when you block the SIM, call your bank and lock your accounts. FirstHour helps you get ready before that hour, so you're not starting from zero.
What it stands for
Read on your iPhone
Your pictures are checked on your iPhone and never uploaded. There's no analytics code in the app.
Your decisions
Nothing is deleted, moved or locked away unless you choose it.
Honest about limits
Every feature says what it can't do. "Nothing found" means nothing obvious, not "safe".
For everywhere
FirstHour is being released for all countries and regions. The app comes in 9 languages, and this website in 32.
How this website checks its facts
- Every phone number on a Who to call page was read on an official page, and that page is linked beside it. Numbers we couldn't confirm aren't shown.
- We read each number, but we haven't test-called them. If one is wrong, please tell us.
- Guides answer the question first, say where their facts come from, and show when they were last updated.
- What the site says about FirstHour is checked against the app itself.
Security, honestly
FirstHour hasn't had an independent outside security audit yet. Here's how the Vault works, and what it can't protect against.
