iPhone stolen in Canada: who to call
Take a breath, and ask someone to help if you can. We read each number below on an official page on 2 November 2026. Where it's a regulator's or government page rather than the company's own, the note says so. Numbers change, so if one doesn't work, use the official page beside it. Numbers that only work from your own network's phone won't help until you have a SIM again, so look for another way to reach them. Call costs vary.
First steps
- Mark your iPhone as lost at icloud.com/find. Here's the full plan.
- Block your SIM with your network, so nobody else can receive your login codes. Ask how to get your own codes or a replacement SIM.
- Call your banks and e-wallets, and ask them to protect your accounts.
- Report it to the police and ask about blocking the phone.

E-wallets and payment apps
| Who | What to do |
|---|---|
| Apple PaySuspend your cards by marking the iPhone as lost | Use their official help page. On any web browser, go to icloud.com/find and choose Mark As Lost. Apple says this locks the phone and suspends your Apple Pay cards, and you don't need a verification code. It only works if Find My was on before the phone went missing. Official page |
| Google WalletLock or erase your Android phone | Use their official help page. Go to google.com/android/find to lock or erase the phone. Erasing it removes your payment cards from the phone. The phone needs power and a connection for this to work. Official page |
Report it to the police
There is no single national non-emergency number. For a theft that isn't urgent, contact the police force that covers the place it happened, by phone or through its online reporting tool if it has one.
| Who | What to do |
|---|---|
| RCMPContact your local detachment or report online | Use their official help page. Each detachment has its own non-emergency number. Online reporting covers only certain crimes, and the rules differ by province. Official page |

| Ontario Provincial PoliceReport a non-emergency in OPP areas of Ontario | 1 888 310-1122 Many Ontario cities have their own police force instead. Official page |
Block the phone
Canada has a national list of lost and stolen phones, and your carrier is the one that adds your phone. Once listed, the phone can't be used on any Canadian network. With some carriers, suspending your line and listing the phone are separate steps, so ask for both.
| Who | What to do |
|---|---|
| BellAdd your phone to the national list | Use their official help page. Log in to MyBell to report the phone lost. Bell says this stops it working on all Canadian networks. If you get it back, the carrier that listed it is the one that removes it. Official page |
| RogersAdd your phone to the national list | Use their official help page. Rogers says it adds the phone to the national list so it can't be used on any Canadian network. Also report a theft to the police and tell your bank. Official page |
Report fraud or identity theft
Report fraud to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and your local police. You can also ask both credit bureaus, Equifax and TransUnion, to add a fraud alert, which asks lenders to contact you before opening anything new in your name.

|---|---|
| Canadian Anti-Fraud CentreReport fraud or cybercrime | 1-888-495-8501 Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 4:45pm Eastern. Closed on holidays. You can also report online at reportcyberandfraud.canada.ca. Official page |

Please don't
- Don't remove the iPhone from Find My. That takes off Activation Lock.
- Don't go after the phone yourself. If Find My shows where it is, tell the police.
- Don't trust a message saying your iPhone was found. Here's how that scam works.
How FirstHour helps
Plan B gets you ready before anything happens. FirstHour's built-in provider lists cover the Philippines and the US for now. In Canada, you get the general first-hour steps, and you can add your own providers and numbers. Send your plan to someone you trust or print it. FirstHour can't lock your accounts or find your phone for you.
